STAP. ORG’s mission is to create a platform that our community can turn to be educated about their rights and resources as an abuse victim. We set out to educate our community on the different facets of abuse. Understanding how to identify signs of abuse and know where to turn to for help.
It is our desire to uplift our community and understanding that the government is regularly cutting funding for programs, some women, men and children do not and will not receive the needed assistance and or emotional guidance. Through events, raffles and fund raisers, we strive to raise the monies to donate toward the well-being our communities and organizations in need. Since each of us on the board of STAP.STAP. ORG is a poet we also strive to uplift and heal through our poetic imagery using nouns and verbs that’ll ignite the soul to heal and mind clearing. S.TA.P.Org’s vision is one of a community that is well-informed and educated regarding their rights and resources, whether they are in or know someone in abusive situation. S.T.A.P Org also visions a community standing tall and proud opposing abuse of all levels.
We are looking at all aspects of abuse. This includes domestic violence (mother and child, wife and husband, and sibling, etc.) child abuse. Abuse comes in many forms and is not just verbal or emotional. We will touch on economic abuse, isolation abuse and sexual abuse. We will also touch on the topic of abuse which men undergo but is swept under the rug.
